About Me

My photo
I am an artist living and working in Lancaster, PA, with my family. The Obsessive Dollhouse is a lengthy investigation into how the home can serve as a surrogate body, a creative haven and as an isolating and insulating space to keep us from feeling other's suffering. This is a self renovation blog. Through construction/ renovation and destruction, through natural and unnatural forces, this blog will document the process. In the end what will be left?

Renovation Interrupted; Toilet Overflows

Before And After

Gone is the green linoleum and piles of junk.  I opted to paint over the wallpaper and as the new floor and window frame took up enough time.  This is not creative.  Just plain clean reno.  The simple mirror replaced the old.  You may notice that the wall was moved to carve out a hallway for the stairs.  Still plenty of room.  The bathroom looked great until the toilet overflowed leaking into the kitchen below. This picture does not do justice to the dripping of toilet water down the wall.  Plaster to repair.
